Information we process
Server-side conversion, repair, and STEP Viewer tools process the file you upload, its filename and format, and technical job information needed to perform the requested task and provide the result. We also process an IP address for rate limits, security, and abuse prevention. No account is required.
The STL Viewer and STL Editor process selected files locally in your browser; those files are not uploaded to our server. The STEP Viewer is different: it uploads the STEP file to the server to create a reduced preview.
At checkout, Paddle collects payment details and the email address you provide. We receive the checkout email and transaction information needed to verify payment, deliver the file, send receipts or recovery links, and respond to support requests. We do not receive or store your card number or security code.
First-party analytics and security logs
The service records first-party usage events for its admin analytics, such as page paths, event types, tools used, referrer paths, campaign tags, request status, and limited job-related details. It derives approximate country and city from the IP address and broad device, browser, and operating-system categories from the browser's user-agent. A daily rotating pseudonymous session identifier is derived from the IP address and user-agent; the raw user-agent string is not stored in analytics.
Public analytics excludes admin pages, health checks, detected bots, and internal test traffic. Admin logins and actions are recorded separately for security. Authorized staff may access a file only for support or debugging, and admin file-download requests are logged with the job identifier, admin session reference, and IP address.
Raw IP addresses in analytics and admin security records are retained for 30 days, then truncated to an IPv4 network prefix or IPv6 /64 prefix. Analytics and audit records themselves do not have an automatic expiry in the current application; they may remain after the raw IP has been truncated.
Cookies and advertising
The site does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. Public pages do not receive an analytics cookie. The service sets a first-party session cookie only for authenticated admin login. If the operator enables Plausible, it is used for cookieless aggregate website analytics.
Paddle provides the checkout experience and may use technologies under its own privacy and cookie notices. The service does not use file contents for advertising.
File retention, recovery, and deletion
Unpaid job files and their local processing data are removed by automated cleanup within 60 minutes. For paid jobs, source and processing files and the private full-quality output are retained for up to 7 days after payment, then removed from active storage, unless you delete them sooner.
You can use StlFixTool's My Files page to request recovery links by checkout email. It returns a generic confirmation and only sends links for currently available, unexpired files. A signed deletion link requires confirmation, marks the paid file deleted, and removes it from private storage; if storage is temporarily unavailable, cleanup retries the removal.
Deleting or expiring a file does not currently delete its paid-job database record. That record can include the checkout email, job and transaction identifiers, filenames, tool, file size, timestamps, and status. The application currently has no automatic deletion schedule for these paid-job records. Contact contact@stlfixtool.com to request access to or deletion of personal data; a file deletion link removes the file, not this purchase record.
Service providers and data location
Replit provides app hosting, the database, and private file storage. Service data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record/reseller for orders and processes checkout and payment information. Resend sends service and file-recovery emails. If enabled, Plausible processes limited website-usage information without analytics cookies.
These providers receive information only as needed to provide their services, and their own privacy notices and terms apply to their systems. The service does not sell uploaded files or use them to train AI models.
Your privacy rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by contacting contact@stlfixtool.com or +212708102023. Requests are subject to identity checks and any applicable legal, accounting, and security requirements. Moroccan Law 09-08 and other mandatory privacy protections that apply to you are not limited by this policy.
Include enough information to identify the relevant interaction, such as a job ID, but do not send payment card details or security codes. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Children and security
StlFixTool is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us using the address above.
We use operational and technical measures intended to protect the service and its data. No online service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. You should not upload material unless you have the right to use it and are comfortable with the service processing it as described here.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the beginning of the policy identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
